A Mother's Day Cake

OK so I am a little late on posting this one but it was a Mother's Day cake I did for a client having a party for her mother and mother-in-law. They thought it was fabulous and loved the taste.

In Honor of the Masters

OK, so this was not really for the Masters but making it fell on the day after so why not. This cake was actually made for a couple moving away and they love golf. I had lots of fun making this cake since it looks like the ball is going to crush everything. I wish I could take credit for making the little people because they are cute, however, the lady who ordered this cake made the people.

A Valentines Treat

Here is a little Valentine Cake I made for a co-worker. I got the idea from Bakerella's blog which I thought was very cleaver. Everything pictured is make of cake. The little chocolates were most delicious. I highly recommend this cake to anyone. Although on Bakerella's site she said to make the sides of the box about .25" higher than the rest of the cake. I recommend a little more than that because my sides were not tall enough. You be the judge though.

Fisherman Cake

This was a fun cake to create. This cake was make for my church minister whom has served at our church for 20 years. The top layer was chocolate cake and the bottom was white. What I really liked about this cake is I used an airbrush to make the icing blue. It was easy and no one was walking around with blue lips after eating it. Another fun thing about the cake is the dock on the top was made of tootsie rolls. Sand around the bottom and top layer is make from gram crackers. Needless to say it was a big hit at the party.

This is one of the two sheet cakes I made to go with the tier cake above. These are actual pictures which I had converted to eatable icing. Pretty sweet.
